Albino python discovered in Sri Lanka

Wildlife Conservation Department of Sri Lanka reported the discovery of a rare albino python from a farm in Ritigala in
the North Central Province. 

The wildlife officials of Ritigala Beat Wildlife Office took the reptile into their safe custody with the hope of releasing it into a suitable wildlife park.

The female albino is about 2 meters and 60 centimeters and about 10 to 12 years old.

This is believed the first albino python recorded in Sri Lanka.
